Building the Specimen

This site began as six reference images and a rule: monochrome, or nothing.

The landing flower is a port of a particle system originally wrapped around a torus knot. The physics did not change — repulsion, spring, damping, all kept to the original constants — only the body changed. It turns out a spider lily is mostly a torus knot with better posture.

The catalogue numbering (V.01, N.001, DOC.002) is not decoration. Slots that say SEALED are real slots; the record is built to have gaps. A portfolio that admits what is missing is more honest than one that pretends to be finished.

This note is the first entry in the record. It documents the record. The snake is aware it is eating its tail; the snake considers this a feature.
